Trainer, Mediator and Management Consultant

Rachael is a skilled facilitator, community practitioner and project coordinator with 10 years experience working with a broad range of international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), national educational institutions and grassroots organizations on international and community development issues.

Rachael’s work and experiences have been shaped by her connections to Latin America, specifically issues of Fair Trade, mining, Indigenous Peoples, youth capacity-building and rural development.. Rachael is currently a Professor at Loyalist College (Canada) teaching the International Support Worker Program with a focus on issues of international development, community building, peace education, and inter-cultural diversity.

Rachael uses a combination of participatory community-based development approaches and transformative educational methods to facilitate positive social change by integrating physical, mental, emotional and spiritual connections.

Rachael obtained her Master of Arts (MA) in Peace Studies (University of Bradford, UK) and a Bachelor of Social and Applied Human Sciences (BA) (University of Guelph, Canada).
