Natalie Abdou

Youth Engagement Organizational Partnering, and Social Justice Education

Trainer, Mediator and Management Consultant

Natalie brings over 10 years of Canadian and international experience in citizen-led development, community engagement, partnership development, advocacy, together with a special focus on social justice through participatory community theatre for youth.

With a background in international project management and transformative adult education, Natalie supports youth, communities, organizations and NGO workers in developing partnerships through programming, collaborative planning, participatory education and arts-informed practice.

Stretching from mine risk education in rural Yemen to coordinating youth partnership programs with 19 organizations across the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa, Natalie brings direct knowledge of the diverse challenges and opportunities that fuel transformative learning and create synergies of collective social action. Natalie applies a diversity of experiences and a strong listening ear to facilitating and building peoples’ skills and capacities for peacebuilding.

Natalie is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Young People’s Theatre (Toronto) and a past Associate Teacher at the Coady International Institute (Canada). Natalie has a post-graduate degree in International Project Management from Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (Toronto). She is currently completing her M.ED in Adult Education and Community Development from OISE- University of Toronto.
